RESOLUTION NO. 9470
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF EXCESS
RIGHT-OF-WAY ADJACENT TO 1489 HARRIET AVENUE BETWEEN
VAN DUSEN LANE AND POLLARD ROAD
WHEREAS, the land owner of 1489 Harriet Avenue has requested the City vacate
excess public street right-of-way adjacent to the subject property; and
WHEREAS, this vacation is made pursuant to Chapter 4, Summary Vacation, of Part 3
of Division 9 of the California Streets and Highways Code; and
WHEREAS, the property to be vacated is described in the legal description and shown
on the plat labeled "Exhibit A" on file with the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, the property to be vacated constitutes excess right-of-way not required for
street or highway purposes; and
WHEREAS, from and after the date that this resolution is recorded, the street portion
or portion thereof vacated no longer constitutes a public street;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby vacates excess right-of-way adjacent to 1489 Harriet Avenue between Van Dusen Lane
and Pollard Road, authorizes the Public Works Director to execute the necessary documents
for vacation of this excess public right-of-way, and further authorizes the City Clerk to record
the necessary documents.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION FOR STREET VACATION
OF HARRIET AVENUE
All that certain real property situate in the City of campbell, County
of Santa Clara, State of California described as follows:
Beginning for reference at the northeasterly corner of Parcel "B" as
said 1.051 acre parcel is shown on that certain Parcel Map recorded in
Book 334 of Maps at Page 29, Santa Clara County Records, said corner
also being the point of intersection of the northerly line of Van Dusen
Lane with the westerly line of Harriet Avenue, thence proceeding along
the easterly line of said Parcel B, S 150 15' 00" E, 50.00 feet to the
True Point of Beginning of this description; thence proceeding easterly
along the prolongation of said southerly line of Van Dusen Lane,
N 760 45' 00" E, 30.03 feet to the centerline of said Harriet Avenue;
thence southerly along said centerline, S 150 50' 00" E, 164.53 feet to
the northerly line of Pollard Road as shown on that certain Parcel Map
recorded in Book 662 of Maps a page 14, Santa Clara County Records,
thence westerly along said northerly line, S 850 25' 39" W, 33.58 feet
to said westerly line of Harriet Avenue; thence northerly along said
westerly line along a curve to the left from a tangent bearing of
N 150 36' 04" E with a radius of 20.00 feet, a central angle of
310 26' 04" and arc length of 10.97 feet; thence continuing along said
westerly line, N 150 50' 00" W, 148.90 feet to the True Point of
Beginning.
CONTAINING 4,877 square feet of land, more or less.
