RESOLUTION NO. 9464
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE
AMENDMENTS TO AGREEMENTS WITH THE CITY OF SAN JOSE
FOR MATERIALS TESTING, CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION AND
SURVEYING SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is in need of materials testing, construction inspection
and surveying services; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell does not have the capability in-house to perform these services;
and
WHEREAS, the City of San Jose's rates are competitive and responsiveness is comparable or
better than other testing labs, construction inspection consultants and surveyors; and
WHEREAS, the previous agreements for these services with the City of San Jose will expire on
December 31, 1998; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Jose has been very responsive to requests for services and staff
desires to continue this cooperative effort;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby
authorizes the Public Works Director to execute amendments to three agreements with the City of San
Jose to provide materials testing, construction inspection and surveying services through December
31,2000, as well as any additional extensions of these agreements.
