RESOLUTION NO. 9444
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO NEGOTIATE A CONTRACT
FOR COMMUNICATIONS CONSOLE REPLACEMENT EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the Police Department is engaged in the acquisition of radio
communications control equipment and communications center furnishings to
enable the Department to provide effective police services to the community.;
WHEREAS, the Police Department has distributed a Request for
Proposal for radio control equipment and communications center furnishings;
WHEREAS, respondents to the Police Department's Request for
Proposal, Orbacom Systems and Motorola, offer services and products suited to
the Department's needs;
WHEREAS, THE City Council has been presented with a request from
staff to authorize the Police Department to negotiate a contract with Orbacom
Systems, or in the event these negotiations are unsatisfactory, Motorola;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Campbell that the Police Department be authorized to approve and execute and
agreement for services with Orbacom Systems or Motorola.
