A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO NEGOTIATE EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT WITH FREDERICK T. SEHER & ASSOCIATES
FOR PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING AND SUPPORT SERVICES
WHEREAS, on May 28, 1998 staff issued an informal Request for Proposals for
survey work for Midway Street, Burrows Road and control points for the City's aerial
mapping project; and
WHEREAS, Frederick T. Seher and Associates was selected to do the work based on
the quality of their proposal, their ability to schedule the work quickly, and their past job
performance; and
WHEREAS, Frederick T. Seher and Associates has performed well under the current
contract by being responsive and performing quality work in an efficient manner; and
WHEREAS, more survey work is needed to provide information to do the design work
on other reconstruction projects in the street maintenance plan; and
WHEREAS, to proceed most efficiently with the design of the remammg street
reconstruction projects it would be most effective to negotiate and execute another agreement
with Seher and Associates for an additional amount not to exceed $60,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell
that the Public Works Director is hereby authorized to negotiate and execute an agreement with
Frederick T. Seher and Associates for pavement maintenance engineering and support services
in an amount not to exceed $60,000.
