RESOLUTION NO. 9378
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE SIDEWALK
MAINTENANCE PROJECT (98-72) AND ACCESSIBILITY RAMPS PROJECT
(96-09 - PHASE II) TO SPOSETO ENGINEERING, INC. AND AUTHORIZING
THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT
WHEREAS, bids were received for construction of the Annual Sidewalk
Maintenance Project (98-72) and Accessibility Ramps Project (96-09 -Phase II) on April 30,
1998; and
WHEREAS, Sposeto Engineering, Inc. has been found to be the lowest
responsible bidder in the amount of $ 151,081.70; and
WHEREAS, it is recommended to increase the construction contingency to 25 percent
and authorize the Public Works Director to execute change orders in an aggregate amount not
to exceed $ 37,770.43 to include additional sidewalk, curb, and gutter repair requests at
various locations throughout the City; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Campbell that the contract for construction of the Annual Sidewalk Maintenance Project (98-
72) and Annual Accessibility Ramps Project (96-09 - Phase II) be awarded to Sposeto
Engineering, Inc., and that the Public Works Director is hereby authorized to execute an
agreement with Sposeto Engineering, Inc., in the amount of $ 151,081.70 plus a 25%
construction contingency of $ 37,770.43 for a total of $ 188,852.13.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell that the
Public Works Director is hereby authorized to execute contract change order(s) in the amount
not to exceed $ 37,770.43 for additional sidewalk, curb, and gutter repair requests at various
locations throughout the City.
