RESOLUTION NO. 9365
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAMPBELL APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT TO
THE FISCAL YEAR 1997/1998 OPERATING BUDGET
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Campbell has adopted a Fiscal Year 1997/1998
operating budget; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved a State Grant for the hiring of Community
Services Officers that will require the retention of the vehicle previously used for the Photo Radar
Program; and,
WHEREAS, the City has incurred theft and accident losses, and partial reimbursement is
anticipated from the City's insurance carrier; and,
WHEREAS, additional funding is available from the General Fund Unappropriated Fund
Balances;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby approves the initiation of a budget adjustment to transfer approximately $11 ,480 from the
Insurance Claims Refunds account (207.4962) and $2,500 from the General Fund Unappropriated
Fund Balance (101.3799) and place $3,800 in the Machinery and Equipment account
(207.775.7884), $7,400 in the Maintenance of Buildings, Structures and Grounds account
(207.775.7428), $1,720 in the Small Tools account (207.775.7425), and $1,020 in the Special
Departmental Expense account (207.775.7427); and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby approves the initiation of a
budget adjustment to transfer approximately $25,000 from the Insurance Claims Refunds account
(641.4962) and $33,500 from the General Fund Unappropriated Fund Balance (101.3799) and
place $58,500 in the Machinery and Equipment account (641.750.7884);
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes the purchase of a
replacement photo radar vehicle, replacement patrol vehicle, and replacement park maintenance
equipment; and authorizes staff to complete the budget adjustment once insurance reimbursement
amounts are determined.
