RESOLUTION NO. 9364
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AWARDING A CONTRACT TO GRADETECH, INC. FOR PROJCT 95-03,
LOS GATOS CREEK TRAIL WIDENING, AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS
DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT, AND APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT
WHEREAS, bids were received for the construction of Project 95-03, Los Gatos Creek Trail
Widening, on March 31, 1998; and
WHEREAS, GradeTech, Inc. has been found to be the lowest responsible bidder for the total
base bid in the amount of $123,736.00; and
WHEREAS, award of additive alternates Al and A2 will allow placement of pullboxes and
conduit that will be used for the future placement of fiberoptic cable, connecting City Hall to the
Service Center; and
WHEREAS, favorable bids were received and allocating a construction contingency of 45 % is
recommended and the Public Works Director is authorized to extend the project widening limits; and
WHEREAS, a budget adjustment has been prepared to increase the total project budget by
$12,000.00 to cover work for additive items Al and A2.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby awards the contract for construction of the Los Gatos Creek Trail Widening Project (95-03) to
GradeTech, Inc.; authorizes the Public Works Director to execute a contract with GradeTech, Inc. in
the amount of $135,236.00 and encumber a 45% construction contingency in the amount of
$60,856.00; and approves the attached budget adjustment in the amount of $12,000.00.
