RESOLUTION NO. 9354
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT WITH MPA DESIGN FOR DESIGN OF THE CAMPBELL
PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (98-01)
WHEREAS, on November 4, 1996, the City Council approved the Park Improvement
Implementation Plan (PlIP) which provided recommendations and preliminary cost estimates
for park improvements at various City parks; and
WHEREAS, on January 20, 1998, the City Council authorized the issuance of a
Request for Proposals (RFP) for the selection of a consulting firm to design the improvements
for Campbell Park; and
WHEREAS, thirteen proposals were received and reviewed, and four finalists made
presentations before a committee; and
WHEREAS, MP A Design was determined to be the best qualified firm for the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell hereby authorizes the Public Works Director to execute an agreement for
professional services with MPA Design in the amount of $84,170, plus a 10% contingency of
$8,430, for a total amount not to exceed $92,600 for the design of the Campbell Park
Improvements.
