RESOLUTION NO. 9351
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE
SUBMITTAL OF PROPOSALS FOR NON-COMPETITIVE FUNDS FROM
SANTA CLARA COUNTY UNDER THE FEDERAL HOUSING AND COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT ACT FOR FISCAL YEAR 1998-99
WHEREAS, the City previously entered into a Joint Powers Agreement with Santa Clara
County to form an Urban County under the Housing and Community Act;
WHEREAS, the City Council and Civic Improvement Commission held public hearings on
expenditures of monies under the Community Development Act; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that the attached proposals
represents the community development needs in Campbell.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that staff is hereby authorized to submit a
proposal for the expenditure of 1998-99 CDBG funds in the amount of$165,566 for the
following projects:
Catholic Charities Shared Housing
Emergency Housing Consortium
Inn Vision
Project Match
Senior Adult Legal Services
Social Advocates for Youth
Support Network for Battered Women
Public Service Subtotal
Eastfield Ming-Quong
Sacred Heart Community Service
Economic & Social Opportunities
CDBG Administration
Housing Rehabilitation Support Services
Targeted Code Enforcement
Other Eligible Project Subtotal

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby designates Bernard M.
Strojny, the City Manager or his designee Steve Piasecki, the Community Development Director
as the City Manager's assignee to assume the overall responsibility for the progress and execution
of this contract. Sharon Teeter is hereby designated to serve as City CDBG Program
Coordinator.

Campbell this 17th day of March 1998, by the following roll call vote:
