RESOLUTION NO. 11369
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL CONGRATULATING ROCK BOTTOM BREWERY
ON BEING SELECTED "2011 BUSINESS OF THE YEAR"
WHEREAS, Rock Bottom Brewery was selected by the Campbell Chamber of
Commerce as "2011 Business of the Year" and will be honored at the Chamber's
annual "Celebrate Campbell" banquet on March 24, 2012; and
WHEREAS, Rock Bottom Brewery recently celebrated his 15th anniversary at the
Pruneyard location; and
WHEREAS, all Rock Bottom Brewery locations participate in community service
through the CraftWorks Foundation, Bennett Ponder, General Manager, and his
service-oriented crew continue to increase their presence at local community events;
and
WHEREAS, Rock Bottom Brewery contributed food and funding to several/ocal events
and organizations in 2011 including the Ainsley House holiday party, Campbell Middle
School's WOW event and the Assistance League of Los Gatos-Saratoga Crab Feed;
and
WHEREAS, Rock Bottom Brewery has partnered with the Rescue 25 Restoration
Project to help raise funds to restore an original firefighter paramedic truck, and donated
proceeds from a Chamber mixer to the Campbell Veterans Memorial Foundation; and
WHEREAS, Rock Bottom Brewery has hosted an annual "Thanksgiving Day Gathering"
for the past three years inviting hundreds of low-income and homeless families to a free
holiday feast.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Campbell City Council congratulate
Rock Bottom Brewery on being selected "2011 Business of the Year" and recognize the
many contributions Rock Bottom Brewery has made to the Campbell community.
