RESOLUTION NO. 11368
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL CONGRATULATING
CARY STOVER, 2011 CITIZEN OF THE YEAR
WHEREAS, Cary Stover has been selected by the Campbell Chamber of Commerce as
2011 Citizen of the Year in recognition of many years of volunteer service to the
Campbell community and will be honored at the annual "Celebrate Campbell" banquet
on March 24, 2012; and
WHEREAS, Cary Stover is the immediate Past President of the Campbell Chamber of
Commerce and has held several positions on the Chamber Board; and
WHEREAS, Cary Stover started his impressive record of volunteerism in the Campbell
community when he served on the first Carol of Lights Committee in 2005; and
WHEREAS, Cary Stover has served as Chair of the Chamber's Boogie on the Bayou,
Oktoberfest, Golf Tournament and Toy Program; and
WHEREAS, Cary Stover served on the Board of Historical Museum and Ainsley House
Foundation, and as a member of the Kiwanis Club of Campbell volunteered at the
Club's major events like the Eggstravaganza and Kiwanis Special Games; and
WHEREAS, Cary Stover has contributed financially to many local causes such as
Sundown Cinema and the Downtown Business Association Wine Walks, and has
personally worked to install lights in the magnolia trees at Orchard City Green for the
holidays.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
congratulate Cary Stover on being named Campbell's 2011 Citizen of the Year and
recognize his service to the Campbell community and continued involvement in
community and civic projects.
