RESOLUTION NO. 9349
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR
ASSIGNMENT OF SOLID WASTE CONTRACTS TO THE WEST VALLEY
SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY
Whereas, the City of Campbell has entered into an agreement entitled "Agreement
between the City of Campbell and Green Valley Disposal Company for Recycling Services"
dated September 6,1994; and
Whereas, the City of Campbell has entered into an agreement entitled "Agreement
between the City of Campbell and Green Valley Disposal Company for Residential Yard
Waste Services" dated September 6.1994; and
Whereas, the City of Campbell has entered into an agreement entitled " Final
Agreement Between City of Campbell and Green Valley Disposal Company for Refuse
Collection Services" dated July 15,1997; and
Whereas, the City of Campbell has entered into and agreement entitled " Waste
Disposal Agreement Between Guadalupe Rubbish Disposal Company and the City of
Campbell" dated July 15,1997; and
Whereas, the City of Campbell has entered into an agreement forming the West Valley
Solid Waste Management Authority dated September 16,1997; and
Whereas, the City of Campbell desires to assign and the Authority desires to assume
some of the City's rights, interests and obligations set forth in those agreements,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell hereby authorizes the Mayor to execute that agreement entitled "Assignment,
Assumption and Consent Agreement" for solid waste services.
