RESOLUTION NO.
9266
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN TEMPORARY
EMPLOYEE PERSONNEL FILES
WHEREAS, due to storage constraints the need has arisen to destroy
certain temporary employee personnel files; specifically, records for temporary
employees who terminated prior to January 1, 1995; and
WHEREAS, this destruction of records is being carried out in accordance
with all applicable laws and rules regarding retention of records; and
WHEREAS, official roster cards summarizing the employment of each such
individual will be retained as permanent records.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby
authorize the destruction of these temporary employee personnel files.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of September, 1997, by the following
roll call vote:
