RESOLUTION NO. 9256
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE
JOHN D. MORGAN PARK RINCON SIDE IMPROVEMENTS
(PROJECT 97-19) TO PERMA-GREEN HYDROSEEDING, INC., AUTHORIZING THE
PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT,
AND APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT
WHEREAS, bids were received for construction of the John D. Morgan Park Rincon
Side Improvements (Project 97-19) on July 24, 1997; and
WHEREAS, on July 15, 1997, the City Council approved the addition of a water spiral
feature to be constructed with the improvements necessitating a budget adjustment to cover the
costs of this additional equipment; and
WHEREAS, the attached budget adjustment has been prepared to transfer $67,196 from
the Capital Improvement Reserve Fund into the project to allow for the construction of the
improvements; and
WHEREAS, Perma-Green Hydroseeding, Inc. was found to be the lowest responsible
bidder for the total base bid in the amount of $369,498;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell does hereby award the contract for construction of the John D. Morgan Park Rincon
Side Improvements Project (97-19) to Perma-Green Hydroseeding, Inc. in the amount of
$369,498, plus a 10% contingency in the amount of $36,948; authorizes the Public Works
Director to execute a contract in an amount not to exceed $406,440; and approves the attached
budget adjustment.
