RESOLUTION NO. 9246
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
WITH THE COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE
COUNTY-WIDE HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell finds that it is in the best interest of the residents of
Campbell to provide a safe and convenient means of disposing of household hazardous waste;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that a joint collection program for the residents of
Santa Clara County to be more economical than a collection program in each individual
jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS, the County of Santa Clara has developed a Household Hazardous Waste
Collection Program whereby residents of the County and participating jurisdictions will have
an opportunity to safely dispose of household hazardous waste on an appointment or
emergency basis regardless of specific location at which an event has been scheduled; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to continue participating in the program to
provide City residents opportunities to safely dispose of their household hazardous waste.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell
that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an Agreement with the County of Santa
Clara for the County-wide Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and correct copy of the resolution duly
passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Campbell, California, at a meeting
thereof held on the 15th day of July, 1997, by the following roll call vote of the members
