RESOLUTION APPROVING A MASTER SURETY BOND FOR PUBLIC OFFICIALS AND
EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL FOR WHOM BONDING IS REQUIRED
WHEREAS, State and local law require bonding for certain public officials and employees;
WHEREAS, recently amended Government Code Section 1481 authorizes a city to utilize a
master official bond extending coverage to all designated public officials and employees when deemed
expedient by the legislative body;
WHEREAS, ABAG Plan Corporation has secured a master surety bond which will cover the City
of Campbell designated officials and employees;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Campbell that it
hereby deems it expedient to use and consequently approves the use of a master surety bond to meet the
bonding requirements of state and local law for public officials and employees.
