RESOLUTION NO. 9234
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING AN INCREASE IN THE PROJECT CONTINGENCY AND
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE
A CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $24,500 FOR
THE ANNUAL SIDEWALK MAINTENANCE AND ACCESSIBILITY RAMP PROJECTS
WHEREAS, the adopted 1996-1997 operating budget includes funds for Annual
Sidewalk Maintenance; and
WHEREAS, several additional locations in need of sidewalk repair on EI Solyo Avenue
have been noted by City staff; and,
WHEREAS, an efficient and effective way to complete the repairs on EI Solyo would
be to complete these repairs under the existing contract between JJR Construction and the City
of Campbell for the Annual Sidewalk Maintenance Project; and,
WHEREAS, the currently allocated project contingency is not adequate to cover the
additional cost of including these additional sidewalk repair sites within the current contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Campbell that the project contingency for the combined Annual Sidewalk Maintenance (Project
97-72) and Accessibility Ramp (Project 96-06) is hereby increased from $27,786.18 to
$41,957.18 and the Public Works Director is hereby authorized to execute a contract change
order with JJR Construction in an amount not to exceed $24,500 for additional sidewalk repair
