RESOLUTION NO. 9217
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FILLING TWO LOWER-LEVEL CLERICAL POSITIONS
FROM THE CURRENT PRINCIPAL CLERK ELIGIBILITY LIST
WHEREAS, a recruitment and testing process was completed for the
classification of Principal Clerk in October, 1996; and
WHEREAS, due to an upcoming service retirement there will be a vacancy for
a permanent full-time Senior Clerk-Typist in the Recreation and Community Services
Department; and
WHEREAS, this position can be filled by a promotional appointment from the
Principal Clerk List, resulting in a full-time Clerk-Typist position that can also be filled
from the same List; and
WHEREAS, the minimum qualifications for Principal Clerk exceed those
applicable to the classifications of Senior Clerk-Typist and Clerk-Typist, and there are
candidates on the Principal Clerk List who are interested in filling these positions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby
authorize the filling of these two lower-level clerical positions from the current
Principal Clerk Eligibility List.
