RESOLUTION NO. 9204
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AUTHORIZING
THE PURCHASE OF REPLACEMENT PATROL VEHICLES AND
AUTHORIZING REPLACEMENT OF THE AANET PROGRAM VEHICLE
WITH AN EXISTING PATROL VEHICLE
WHEREAS, seven patrol vehicles and one AANET Program vehicle will be nearing the
end of their useful lives; and,
WHEREAS, one patrol vehicle has been damaged beyond its value in an accident; and,
WHEREAS, the FY 1996/97 operating budget allows for replacement of these vehicles;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell
that the Office of Procurement, Department of General Services of the State of California is
authorized to purchase seven patrol vehicles for and on behalf of the City of Campbell pursuant
to Section 10324 of the Public Contract Code and Section 3.20.070 of the Campbell Municipal
Code; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell that the
Public Works Director is authorized to purchase two utility patrol vehicles from Carl Chevrolet
pursuant to Section 3.20.030(8) of the Campbell Municipal Code; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell that the
existing traffic/radar patrol vehicle be transferred to the AANET Program; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell that the
Public Works Director is authorized and directed to sign and deliver all necessary requests and
other documents in connection with these purchases on behalf of the City of Campbell.
