RESOLUTION NO. 9203
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
THE SIDEWALK MAINTENANCE PROJECT (97-72) AND
ACCESSIBILITY RAMP PROJECT (96-09) TO J.J.R. CONSTRUCTION, INC.
WHEREAS, bids were received for construction of the Annual Sidewalk
Maintenance Project (97-72) and Accessibility Ramp Project (96-09) on February 19, 1997;
and
WHEREAS, J.J.R. Construction, Inc. has been found to be the lowest responsible
bidder in the amount of $138,713.82; and
WHEREAS, it is recommended to increase the construction contingency to 20 percent
and authorize the Public Works Director to execute change orders in an aggregate amount not
to exceed $27,786.18 to include additional sidewalk repairs at the Community Center and other
locations throughout the City; and
WHEREAS, it is recommended that the street tree planting project have a separate
contract in order to allow completion of the planting schedule in May;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Campbell that the contract for construction of the Annual Sidewalk Maintenance Project (97-
71) and Annual Accessibility Ramp Project (96-09) be awarded to J.J.R. Construction, Inc.,
and that the Public Works Director is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with J.J.R.
Construction, Inc. in the amount of $138,713.82 plus a 20% construction contingency of
$27,786.18 for a total of $166,500.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell that the
Public Works Director is hereby authorized to execute contract change order(s) in an amount
not to exceed $27,786.18 for additional sidewalk repair work at the Community Center and
other locations throughout the City.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell that
the street tree planting project be completed as a separate project.
