RESOLUTION NO. 9193
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE MOZART
BRIDGE (PROJECT 95-10) TO SAROTT CONSTRUCTION COMPANY
WHEREAS, bids were received for construction of the Mozart Bridge (Project 95-10) on
January 9, 1997; and
WHEREAS, Sarott Construction Company has been found to be the lowest responsible
bidder for the total base bid in the amount of $271 ,31 0, including additive alternate AI; and
WHEREAS, proceeding with additive alternate Al will allow for the most effective and
efficient coordination for the bridge purchase delivery and installation and will minimize the
potential of the City incurring contractor delay costs or claims;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell hereby awards the contract for the construction of the Mozart Bridge (Project 95-10),
including additive alternate AI, to Sarott Construction, the responsive low bidder, in the amount
of$271,310.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Public Works Director is authorized to execute
a contract in the amount of $271,310, including $19,581 as a 10% construction contingency for
the base bid and a 5% contingency for the additive alternate, for a total amount of $290,891.
