RESOLUTION NO. 9184
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE
SOLICITATION OF BIDS FOR THE ANNUAL SIDEWALK MAINTENANCE
AND ACCESSIBILITY RAMP PROJECTS
WHEREAS, the adopted 1996-1997 operating budget includes funds for Annual
Sidewalk Maintenance; and
WHEREAS, the adopted Capital Improvement Plan includes funds for Project
96-09 - Accessibility Ramps; and,
WHEREAS, criteria for the selection of sidewalks to be repaired with the
Annual Sidewalk Maintenance contract and the accessibility ramp project have been
presented to the City Council; and,
WHEREAS, it is recommended that the recently approved recommendation for
allocation of street tree funds be included with these projects in an effort to obtain some
economies of scale due to the relatively similar nature of the work; and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the construction of the desired
improvements have been prepared;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Campbell that the plans and specifications for the construction of the Annual Sidewalk
Maintenance (Project 97-72) and the Accessibility Ramp (Project 96-09) are hereby
approved and the Public Works Department is authorized to solicit bids for the
construction of the project improvements.
