RESOLUTION NO. 9159
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
COMMENDING CRUZ S. GOMEZ FOR THIRTY-FIVE YEARS OF SERVICE
WHEREAS, Cruz S. Gomez was hired by the City of Campbell as a Senior Engineering
Aide on November 20, 1961, promoted to Junior Civil Engineer on October 5, 1964, and to
Assistant Civil Engineer on September 1, 1973; and
WHEREAS, Cruz S. Gomez has provided service in a wide variety of capacities within
Public Works such as design and construction of public streets and improvements, inspection of
construction on public projects and developments, land development engineering and plan
review, and non-point source inspections and monitoring; and
WHEREAS, Cruz S. Gomez has always worked diligently to improve the quality of life
for the residents of the City of Campbell; and
WHEREAS, Cruz S. Gomez's engineering judgment and ability to foresee potential
issues and problems has allowed a proactive resolution to these situations; and
WHEREAS, Cruz S. Gomez is an individual source of knowledge for practices,
procedures and policies implemented by the Public Works Department during the past 35 years
and is one of the Department's greatest assets.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
on behalf of the citizens of Campbell and the employees of the City hereby expresses its sincere
appreciation to Cruz S. Gomez for thirty-five years of valuable service and wishes him continued
success and achievement.
