RESOLUTION NO. 9148
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE INTERIM CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE WEST VALLEY CITIES FOR
SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell has participated in the Solid Waste Management
Program with the west valley cities of Saratoga, Monte Sereno and Los Gatos since November
1990; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement authorizes the implementation of solid waste management
activities and provides for oversight and general direction by the West Valley Rate Review
Committee; and
WHEREAS, the existing Agreement expires in 1996 and the new agreement continues
in perpetuity unless terminated in accordance with provisions of the Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell desires to continue to participate with the other west
valley cities in the Solid Waste Management Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby authorized the Interim City Manager to execute a cooperative Agreement with the West
Valley Cities for Solid Waste Management Services.
