CC Resolution 9112 .r .. RESOLUTION NO. 9112 BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AMENDING THE COMPENSATION OF THE CITY ATTORNEY WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized to establish the compensation paid to the City Attorney; WHEREAS, the City Attorney's compensation and Agreement were last amended by Resolution No. 8731 dated September 20, 1994; WHEREAS, the City Council based the City Attorney's retainer on an estimated provision of sixty-eight (68) hours per month of service at an average hourly compensation of $94.85; WHEREAS, it appears that the seventy-five (75) hours per month appears to be a reasonable estimate of services required of the City Attorney for the forthcoming fiscal year; WHEREAS, the City Council finds that a three and one-half percent (3-1/2 %) increase in the average hourly compensation under the retainer is warranted; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that reasonable adjustment of the City Attorney's litigation billing structure is also warranted; IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell, pursuant to Section 7 of the Amended Agreement for Services of City Attorney, that the City Attorney's compensation shall be as follows, effective July 1, 1996: Monthly Retainer: $7,363 Litigation Services: Attorneys: Law Clerks/Paralegals: $105 per hour $50 per hour PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of August, 1996, by the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmembers: Burr, Conant, Watson, Furtado, Dougherty NOES: Councilmembers: None ABSENT: Councilmembers: None ABSTAIN: Councilmembers: None NOT PARTICIPATING: Councilmembers: None I .
