RESOLUTION NO. 9012
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AND MECHANICAL SYSTEM CONSULTANTS
FOR THE PROVISION OF ENGINEERING SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the Capital Improvement Program for
1995/96 - 2001/02; and
WHEREAS, that program includes Project #96-02 which provides for the design of a
heating, ventilating, and air conditioning system for Building "A"; and
WHEREAS, the engineering firm of Mechanical System Consultants has proposed a
system which is desirable, has considerable experience designing systems of this nature for
historic buildings, and has demonstrated a clear understanding of the issues, concerns and needs
of the building and HV AC systems; and
WHEREAS, available funds have been authorized for transfer to this project to meet the
budget demands of the design phase of this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council authorizes the Director
of Recreation and Community Services to enter into an agreement with Mechanical System
Consultants to provide the design, plans, specifications, and construction documents for the
Building "A" HV AC project for the sum of $36,500, with a contingency of $3,500 for potential
unanticipated extra/additional services for a total contractual agreement not to exceed $40,000.
