RESOLUTION NO. 8981
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS
WITH ASSIST U AND PREFERRED ALLIANCE
WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation requires the implementation of
an alcohol and drug testing program for employees required to maintain Commercial
Drivers Licenses; and
WHEREAS, the City requires Streets, Parks, and Vehicle Maintenance
employees to maintain Commercial Drivers Licenses; and
WHEREAS, agreements with ASSISTU and PREFERRED ALLIANCE will provide both
drug/alcohol testing services and substance abuse counselling services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby
authorize the City Manager to sign Service Agreements with these two firms.
