CC Resolution 8956 RESOLUTION NO. 8956 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT FOR THE HAMILTON AVENUE MEDIANS PROJECT WHEREAS, five separate projects along Hamilton Avenue have been determined to be interrelated and would most efficiently be combined for economies of scale and efficiency in design and construction; and WHEREAS, on October 3, 1995, the City Council authorized staff to negotiate a Consultant Services Agreement for conceptual project planning, preliminary engineering, and final design services for the five combined Hamilton Avenue projects which include (1) Eastbound Hamilton to northbound Highway 17 on-ramp improvements (Project 95-13); (2) Salmar Avenue widening at Hamilton intersection (Project 95-16); (3) Landscaped median islands on Hamilton Avenue between Salmar and Winchester (FY 96-97); (4) Resurfacing Hamilton Avenue between Bascom and Winchester (Proposed 96-97 Annual Street Maintenance Project); and (5) Bridge joint repairs for Hamilton Avenue Bridge at Los Gatos Creek (Project 95-11); and WHEREAS, on February 20, 1996, the City Council conceptually approved the selected design alternative for the combined Hamilton A venue projects and directed staff to conduct a series of public meetings to gather data for the final design of the Hamilton Avenue medians; and WHEREAS, the Hamilton Avenue median island project is currently identified as a FY 1996-97 project in the approved in the 1995-2002 Capital Improvement Plan with a budget of $175,000; and WHEREAS, in order to proceed with the preliminary design and public meetings it will be necessary to move the project funding forward to the current Fiscal Year; and WHEREAS, the attached budget adjustment has been prepared to transfer $175,000 from unallocated Construction Tax to Project 96-23; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Campbell that a budget adjustment in the amount of $175,000 is hereby approved transferring funds from unallocated construction tax to fund the Hamilton Avenue Median Project - Project 96-23 in Fiscal Year 1995-96.
