RESOLUTION NO. 8943
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL STATING SUPPORT FOR RENEWAL OF THE
SANTA CLARA COUNTY PARK CHARTER FUND
WHEREAS, since its inception, the Santa Clara County Park Charter Fund has
been used to support various open space projects; and
WHEREAS, in Campbell, Park Charter Funds have been used to complete
various projects, such as the Los Gatos Creek Trail and the Ainsley House and
Carriage Museum; and
WHEREAS, more recently, Park Charter Funds have been awarded to the City
for the future restoration and repainting of the Water Tower at Hyde Park; and
WHEREAS, on March 26, 1996, voters will be asked to renew the Park Charter
as amended by the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors, which increases the
time period for renewal from four years to twelve years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Campbell does hereby support renewal of the Park Charter Fund and authorizes the
City Manager to forward copies of this resolution to the Board of Supervisors and the
Santa Clara County Parks and Recreation Department.
