A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT TO SUBMIT
PROPOSALS TO UTILIZE STATE OF CALIFORNIA TRANSPORTATION
DEVELOPMENT ACT FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1996/1997
WHEREAS, the City has been allocated $21,554 for projects related to bicycle and
pedestrian facilities for Fiscal Year 1996/1997 by the Santa Clara County Congestion
Management Agency; and
WHEREAS, the City has an approved Bicycle Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to begin promoting the use of routes in the plan that can be
used safely by the various bicycle user groups; and
WHEREAS, all projects require resolutions of local governing bodies to allow cities to
submit funding applications;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby authorizes the Public Works Department to apply for Transportation Development Act
(TDA) Funds for three projects to promote bicycle utilization and improve pedestrian safety.
