RESOLUTION NO. 8932
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL HONORING
LLOYD TAYLOR
AS 1995 CITIZEN OF THE YEAR
WHEREAS, Lloyd Taylor is a long term resident and business owner in the City of Campbell; and
WHEREAS, Lloyd Taylor is an active member of the Campbell Chamber of Commerce, and
currently serves on the Board of Directors;
WHEREAS, Lloyd Taylor has served as the Chairperson of the PruneFestival for several years, as
well as actively supporting the Golf Tournament and the Summer School Job Program for "at-risk"
middle school children; and
WHEREAS, Lloyd Taylor actively supports Downtown Campbell by volunteering at many
Downtown events, including the Oktoberfest; and
WHEREAS, Lloyd Taylor is an avid sports and exercise fan, and can be seen using the Campbell
Par Course several times a week; and
WHEREAS, Lloyd Taylor provides plaques, banners, and signs, at little or no cost, for many
different causes including, Campbell Golf Club, Campbell Education Foundation, and the Special
Olympics of Santa Clara County; and
WHEREAS, Lloyd Taylor is a member of the San Jose Museum of Art and the San Jose Institute
of Contemporary Art, and is a volunteer with the San Jose Downtown Association.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
recognizes and honors LLOYD TAYLOR on being named 1995 CAMPBELL CITIZEN OF THE
YEAR in recognition of his contributions to the community, voluntary service to charitable
organizations, and involvement in business and governmental affairs.
