RESOLUTION NO. 8910
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAMPBELL APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS AND
CALLING FOR BIDS FOR AN ASPHALT PATCH TRUCK
WHEREAS, the existing asphalt patch truck requires the operators to possess Class
B commercial drivers licenses; and
WHEREAS, a change in the law effective January 1, 1996, will require
implementing mandatory random drug and alcohol testing to maintain these licenses; and
WHEREAS, replacing the existing asphalt patch truck with a lower weight vehicle
will eliminate the need for Class B licenses and allow staff to continue conducting efficient
pavement repair operations; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has been presented with specifications for an asphalt
patch truck.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Campbell that the specifications for the asphalt patch truck be, and they are hereby,
adopted and approved and that the Public Works Director is authorized and directed to
give notice inviting sealed proposals for purchase of an asphalt patch truck.
