RESOLUTION NO.
8908
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
COMMENDING HAROLD (HANK) H. WEST
FOR THIRTY -FNE YEARS OF SERVICE
TO THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
WHEREAS, Hank West was apppointed to the Campbell Public Works Department on
September 1, 1960; and
WHEREAS, Hank West was promoted from Laborer to the positions of Maintenance
Man I, Maintenance Man II, Maintenance Man ill, Heavy Equipment Operator, and Foreman,
and has held the position of Field Maintenance Supervisor since January 1, 1975, which was
retitled Street Maintenance Supervisor on January 19, 1992; and
WHEREAS, Hank West was instrumental in the development of the streets and parks
maintenance programs and has performed his responsibilities with a high degree of
professionalism and dedication; and
WHEREAS, Hank West has embodied the customer service spirit in representing the City
of Campbell to its citizens; and
WHEREAS, Hank West has served his fellow maintenance professionals as an active
member of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the Maintenance Superintendents Association
serving as President in 1980-81.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby expresses its appreciation to Hank West for 35 years of valuable service to the City and
wishes him good health and happiness in his retirement.
