RESOLUTION NO. 8866
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING USE OF RULE 20A FUNDS AND DIRECTING STAFF
TO PROCEED WITH THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN UNDERGROUND
UTILITY DISTRICT FOR THE UNDERGROUNDING OF EXISTING
OVERHEAD FACILITIES ON POLLARD ROAD BETWEEN
YORK AVENUE AND 200' EAST OF MARSAN COURT
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the Final Map for Tract No. 8726 on June 20,
1995 on the condition that New Cities Development Group undertake the widening of Pollard
Road in the vicinity of Tract 8726 and the former San Tomas School site; and
WHEREAS, Pollard Road is a road extensively used by the general public and carries a
significant volume of vehicular traffic; and
WHEREAS, this proposal is in conformance with the provisions of the Public Utilities
Commission's Rule 20A; and
WHEREAS, undergrounding utilities at this time would enhance the appearance and the
useful life of the Pollard Road widening and San Tomas Area Neighborhood Park improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell
that the Public Works Department is authorized to cause the undergrounding of the existing
overhead utilities in conjunction with the Pollard Road Widening Project utilizing Rule 20A
funds, and to proceed with the establishment of an underground utility district.
