RESOLUTION NO. 8832
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
SUMMARILY V ACA TING AN EASEMENT FOR PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES
ALONG ABBOTT AND HACIENDA AVENUES
WHEREAS, pursuant to the San Tomas Area Neighborhood Plan adopted by the City Council on
December 16, 1993, excess street right-of-way exists along the west side of Abbott Avenue south from
Hacienda Avenue to Pollard Road, and along the south side of Hacienda Avenue west of Abbott Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the property owner adjacent to this subject excess right-of-way, 36 Campbell Associates,
L.P., a California Limited Partnership, has requested that the City vacate an easement for street purposes; and
WHEREAS, this vacation is made pursuant to Chapter 4, Summary Vacation, of Part 3 of Division 9
of the California Streets and Highway Code; and
WHEREAS, the easements to be vacated are shown on the Final Map; and
WHEREAS, the easements to be vacated are not required for street or highway purposes; and
WHEREAS, the street portion or portion thereof is no longer required to be a public street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby vacates
an easement for street purposes along Abbott A venue and Hacienda A venue, and authorizes the City Clerk to
record this resolution and Quitclaim Deeds with the required legal documents with the County Recorder's
Office.
