RESOLUTION NO. 8823
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT
NO.2 WITH BIGGS CARDOSA ASSOCIATES FOR ENGINEERING
SERVICES OF THREE BRIDGES ALONG LOS GATOS CREEK
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell executed a Professional Services Agreement with Biggs
Cardosa Associates on September 15, 1994 for the design of the bridge and abutment portions
of the Los Gatos Creek Trail Pedestrian Bridge (Campbell Park Bridge); and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell executed Amendment No.1 to the Agreement with
Biggs Cardosa Associates on March 24, 1995 for site analysis of the Mozart POC Connection
(Mozart Bridge); and
WHEREAS, the City desires to amend the Agreement to include the preliminary
engineering and final design of the Campbell Inn Bridge and the Mozart Bridge, and redesign
of the Campbell Park Bridge; and
WHEREAS, on May 16, 1995, the City Council approved budget adjustments for
preliminary engineering and final design and reconstruction of the Campbell Inn Bridge
($345,000) and the redesign and additional costs of the Campbell Park bridge ($101,000); and
WHEREAS, the City would realize an economy of scale by combining the design of all
three bridges into the same professional services agreement; and
WHEREAS, Biggs Cardosa and Associates project team were determined to be the best
qualified to complete these services;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell
that the Public Works Director is hereby authorized to execute Amendment No.2 with Biggs
Cardosa Associates for preliminary engineering and final design of the Campbell Inn Bridge and
the Mozart Bridge, and redesign of the Campbell Park Bridge.
