RESOLUTION OF THE CAMPBELL CITY COUNCIL
SUPPORTING THE REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY
OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TEAM OF
JOINT VENTURE: SILICON VALLEY NETWORK
WHEREAS, Silicon Valley is the high technology capital of the world; and
WHEREAS, A strong regional economy is critical to the economic viability of its
individual cities; and
WHEREAS, collaboration among cities and private business within the region to
develop and implement a common economic development strategy is essential to the long
term economic future of the area; and
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Team of Joint Venture is composed of
representatives from cities within the region, private industry and the State of California, and
is committed to developing a successful economic development strategy for the common good
of the region.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Campbell City Council
supports the efforts of Joint Venture: Silicon Valley Network to develop a regional economic
development strategy promoting the retention and expansion of high technology industries
and other significant business within the region.
