RESOLUTION NO. 8756
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE
AN AGREEMENT WITH METRICOM, INC.
WHEREAS, Metricom, Inc. has developed a radio device which would allow wireless
communication between computers; and
WHEREAS, Metricom, Inc. has requested permission to install repeater radios on
approximately 40 to 50 City owned street light poles to provide a broad coverage of the City and
allow all residents to avail themselves of the service; and
WHEREAS, Metricom, Inc. proposes to pay the City $60.00 per year for each installation
on City owned equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby authorizes the Public Works Director to negotiate and sign an Encroachment Permit
Agreement with Metricom, Inc. to allow installation of radios on City owned street light poles.
