RESOLUTION NO. 8739
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AUTHORIZING THE USE
OF LINHART PETERSEN POWERS ASSOCIATES
TO SUPPLY TEMPORARY BUILDING INSPECTORS
AS DESCRIBED IN THE PROPOSAL LETTER
DATED MARCH 30, 1994.
WHEREAS, the Community Development Department is in need of
additional Building Inspectors on an "as-needed" demand for construction
projects; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell does not have sufficient combination
inspectors in house to accommodate a reasonable service level for its
customers; and
WHEREAS, Linhart Petersen Powers Associates has qualified Building
Inspectors with the capacity to perform the necessary combination
inspections; and
WHEREAS, Linhart Petersen Powers Associates has given reasonable rates
and has supplied such qualified personnel to various cities throughout the
Bay Area,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell, California, hereby authorizes the Community Development
Director to execute the proposal submitted by Linhart Petersen Powers
Associates in letter form on March 30, 1994.

Dear Mr. Cauthorn:
It vv.as a pleasure meeting with you to discuss the possibility of Linhart Petersen Powers
Associates (LP2A) providing an inspector to perform building inspection services. We
understand that this person would perform combination building inspections, as well as being
rotated to perform plan reviews and counter assistance.
Because it is vital that this person work together with your staff, we propose that we provide
three building inspectors for you to interview and can then select the person who best suits
the City's needs.
\Ve also propose that our fee for this service be determined on a time and materials basis
at an hourly rate of $50.00, plus mileage within the City, charged at a rate of $0.30 per mile.

LP2A is covered with a $1,000,000 professional liability insurance policy, a $1,000,000
.. umbrella policy, and a $1,000,000 vehicle policy.
