RESOLUTION NO. 8720
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AUTHORIZING THE
PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT
TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AND
BARRETT CONSULTING GROUP FOR PROFESSIONAL
ENGINEERING AND CONSULTING SERVICES FOR THE
COMMUNITY CENTER STORM DRAIN PROJECT 93-02
WHEREAS, the City Council's adopted 1992-93 budget included funds for the Community Center Storm
Drain Project 93-02; and
WHEREAS, on June 1, 1993, the City Council adopted Resolution 8497 authorizing the Public Works
Director to execute an agreement in the amount of $24,590 with Barrett Consulting Group for engineering and
professional services required for the preparation of contract documents for the Community Center Storm Drain
Project 93-02; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director executed this contract on June 3, 1993; and
WHEREAS, the design process has revealed a need to add additional items of work into the original
agreement in order to relieve major flooding problems at the Community Center; and
WHEREAS, staff has prepared an amendment to the existing agreement to incorporate these additional
items of work; and
WHEREAS, the existing project budget of $300,000 will not have to be increased to incorporate this
amendment into the design phase of the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell that the Public
Works Director is hereby authorized to execute an amendment to the existing agreement with Barrett Consulting
Group for professional engineering and consulting services for the Community Storm Drain Project 93-02 in
an amount not to exceed $8,598.00.
