RESOLUTION NO. 11183
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING THE CIVIC IMPROVEMENT COMMISSION'S NEIGHBORHOOD
ASSOCIATION ASSISTANCE GRANT APPLICATION FORM AND POLICY, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CIVIC IMPROVEMENT COMMISSION TO APPROVE AND
RELEASE GRANT FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City Council created a new program called Neighborhood Association
Assistance Grants for FY 2012 and to this end, $2,000 has been programmed in the
current fiscal year for this purpose in 101.501.7427;
WHEREAS, the City Council held a Study Session in October 2011 directing the Civic
Improvement Commission to develop an appropriate application form and policy
resembling the City's existing Social Services Subgrant program which is already
reviewed by, and the responsibility of, the Civic Improvement Commission;
WHEREAS, the Civic Improvement Commission has now developed and recommends,
in concert with City staff, an application form and policy for the new Neighborhood
Association Assistance Grants program; and
WHEREAS, the Civic Improvement Commission recommends funding levels not to
exceed $500 per applicant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Campbell
does hereby approve the Civic Improvement Commission's application form and
associated policy for Neighborhood Association Assistance Grants; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council herby authorizes the Civic
Improvement Commission to directly award, and release, Neighborhood Association
Assistance Grant funds to awardees in the interest of expediency.
