BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A
GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT TO CHANGE FROM
COMMERCIAL TO LOW-MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL ON
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 700 W. HACIENDA AVENUE. FILE
NO. GP 93-03.
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on the application for
approval of a Zone Change from C-1-S (Neighborhood Commercial) to R-M-S
(Multiple Family Residential) on property located at 700 W. Hacienda Avenue,
as per the City-initiated application in the Planning Department; and, after
presentation by the Planning Staff, proponents and opponents, the hearing was
closed.
After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Planning Commission
finds as follows with regard to Application No. GP 93-03:
The existing General Plan designation for the site is Commercial.
The Low-Medium Density Residential designation complies with the San
Tomas Area Neighborhood Plan and will be consistent with properties to
the north, west and east.
Based upon the foregoing findings of fact, the Planning Commission further
finds and concludes that:
1. The Low-Medium Density Residential designation is compatible with the
surrounding land uses.
2. The proposed Zone Change will not be detrimental to the health, safety,
peace, morals, comfort or general welfare of the persons residing or working
in the neighborhood or be detrimental or injurious to property and
improvements in the neighborhood or to the general welfare of the City.
