RESOLUTION NO. 8669
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCa
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL APPROVING PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE SOLICITATION OF
BIDS FOR THE ANNUAL SIDEWALK MAINTENANCE AND
ACCESSIBaITY RAMP PROJECTS AND AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS
DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
THE IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the amended 1993-94 operating budget includes funds for the annual sidewalk
maintenance contract and funds for Project 93-72, accessibility ramps; and,
WHEREAS, economies of scale can be realized if the annual sidewalk maintenance contract
is combined with the accessibility ramp project and awarded as one contract; and,
WHEREAS, criteria for the annual sidewalk maintenance contract and the accessibility ramp
project have been presented to the City Council; and,
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the construction of the desired improvements have
been prepared; and,
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director will review the bids received for the project and
determine the lowest responsible bidder;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell that
the plans and specifications for the construction of the Annual Sidewalk Maintenance contract and
the Accessibility Ramp Project (93-72) are hereby approved, the Public Works Department is
authorized to solicit bids for the construction of the project improvements, and the Public Works
Director is authorized to execute a contract for construction of these improvements within the
project budgets.
