RESOLUTION NO. 8653
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
RELINQUISHING OWNERSHIP, AND RESPONSIBILITY FOR MAINTENANCE
AND OPERATION OF THE ROADWAY, INCLUDING POLICE TRAFFIC
ENFORCEMENT, ON SAN TOMAS EXPRESSWAY AT WHITE OAKS ROAD,
WITHIN CITY RIGHT OF WAY, AS SHOWN ON EXHIBIT A TO THE
AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Agreement with the County of Santa Clara for Camden Avenue/San
Tomas Expressway, Street and Traffic Signal Improvements, provides for transfer of
responsibility for maintenance, operation and Police traffic enforcement, from the City to
County of Santa Clara, for San Tomas Expressway from Los Gatos Creek to White Oaks
Road; and
WHEREAS, the Amendment to the Agreement with the County of Santa Clara for
Camden Avenue/San Tomas Expressway, Street and Traffic Signal Improvements, provides
for relinquishment of ownership of the portion of San Tomas Expressway, at White Oaks
Road, within City right of way, to the County; and
WHEREAS, the Streets and Highways Code requires that the ownership be
relinquished by Resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Campbell that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Resolution relinquishing
ownership of said portion of San Tomas Expressway to the County of Santa Clara.
