PC Res 2895RESOLUTION NO. 2895 BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A ZONE CHANGE FROM C-1-S (NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL) TO R-M-S (MULTIPLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 700 W. HACIENDA AVENUE. HLE NO. ZC 93-05. After notification and public hearing as specified by law on the application for approval of a Zone Change from C-1-S (Neighborhood Commercial) to R-M-S (Multiple Family Residential) on property located at 700 W. Hacienda Avenue, as per the City-initiated application in the Planning Department; and, after presentation by the Planning Staff, proponents and opponents, the hearing was dosed. After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Planning Commission finds as follows with regard to Application No. ZC 93-05: 1. The subject parcel is currently zoned C-1-S (Neighborhood Commercial). 2. The R-M-S (Multi-Family Residential) Zoning will allow development consistent with the surrounding neighborhood. 2. The R-M-S Zoning designation complies with the San Tomas Area Neighborhood Plan and will be consistent with the proposed General Plan Amendment. Based upon the foregoing findings of fact, the Planning Commission further finds and concludes that: 1. The proposed R-M-S Zoning Designation is compatible with the surrounding land uses. The proposed zone change will not be detrimental to the health, safety, peace, morals, comfort, or general welfare of the persons residing or working in the neighborhood or to the general welfare of the City.
