RESOLUTION NO. 8642
A RESOLUTION OF INTENT WITH REGARD TO PUBLIC AGENCY FUNDS
AND THE HAZARD ELIMINATION SAFETY PROGRAM FOR THE
HWY 17 SOUTH BOUND OFF RAMP LEFT TURN LANES
AT HAMILTON AVENUE
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell has applied and been recommended for $12,000
in Hazard Elimination Safety (HES) funding, for the construction of pavement
improvements within the Hwy 17 South bound off ramp left turn lanes on Hamilton Avenue,
to improve surface friction, in the 1994 Transportation Improvement Program adopted by
the Metropolitan Transportation Commission and approved by the Federal Highway
Administration; and
WHEREAS, a prerequisite for inclusion in the 1994 TIP is the adoption of a local
resolution saying that
. The project will be built as described above;
. $2,000, or 10% of total project costs (whichever is less), in local matching
funds will be provided by the City of Campbell; and
. The City of Campbell understands that the HES funding is fixed at $12,000,
and therefore any cost increases cannot be expected to be funded with HES
funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Campbell by adopting this Resolution of Intent does hereby state that:
. The project will be built as described above;

funds will be provided by the City of Campbell; and
. The City of Campbell understands that the HES funding is fixed at $12,000,
and therefore any cost increases cannot be expected to be funded with HES
funds.
