CC Resolution 8641 RESOLUTION NO. 8641 A RESOLUTION OF INTENT WITH REGARD TO PUBLIC AGENCY FUNDS AND THE HAZARD ELIMINATION SAFETY PROGRAM FOR THE HAMILTON AVENUE MEDIAN BARRIER IMPROVEMENTS AT MARATHON AND MILLICH DRIVES WHEREAS, the City of Campbell has applied and been recommended for $51,000 in Hazard Elimination Safety (HES) funding for the installation of a median island on Hamilton Avenue at Marathon Drive to enhance left turn sight distance, and installation of a median island barrier on Hamilton Avenue across the Millich Drive intersection and a signalized left turn lane East of Millich Drive to provide a protected U-turn movement, in the 1994 Transportation Improvement Program adopted by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission and approved by the Federal Highway Administration; and WHEREAS, a prerequisite for inclusion in the 1994 TIP is the adoption of a local resolution saying that . The project will be built as described above; . $6,000, or 10% of total project costs (whichever is less), in local matching funds will be provided by the City of Campbell; and . The City of Campbell understands that the HES funding is fixed at $51,000, and therefore any cost increases cannot be expected to be funded with HES funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Campbell by adopting this Resolution of Intent does hereby state that: . The project will be built as described above; . $6,000, or 10% of total project costs (whichever is less), in local matching funds will be provided by the City of Campbell; and .
