RESOLUTION NO.
8631
BEING A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE
OF REPLACEMENT POLICE VEHICLES
WHEREAS, patrol vehicles, police motorcycles, and a police undercover
vehicle are nearing the end of their useful lives; and,
WHEREAS, the FY 1993-94 operating budget allows for replacement of
these vehicles;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Campbell that the Office of Procurement, Department of General Services of
the State of California is authorized to purchase nine patrol vehicles for and on
behalf of the City of Campbell pursuant to Section 10324 of the Public Contract
Coce and Section 3.20.070 of the Campbell Municipal Code; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Campbell that the Public Works Director is authorized to purchase one traffic
patrol vehicle from Anderson Chevrolet pursuant to Section 3.20.030(1) of the
Campbell Municipal Code; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Campbell that the Public Works Director is authorized to purchase two police
motorcycles from Motors West pursuant to Section 3.20.030(1) of the Campbell
Municipal Code; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Campbell that the Public Works Director is authorized to purchase one police
undercover vehicle in an amount not to exceed $18,500 pursuant to Section
3.20.030(1) of the Campbell Municipal Code; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Campbell that the Public Works Director is authorized and directed to sign and
deliver all necessary requests and other documents in connection with these
purchases on behalf of the City of Campbell.
