A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUlliORIZING AN APPUCATION FOR RTSOP FUNDS FOR
THREE SIGNAL SYSTEM UPGRADE PROJECTs
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission has programmed federal
funds for the improvement of signal systems; and
WHEREAS, these federal funds are Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ)
funds for which the City of Campbell is eligible; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell has a need to complete the upgrade of its existing
signal systems;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell hereby authorizes the Public Works Department to submit an application for
Regional Traffic Signalization and Operations Program (RTSOP) funds for the installation of
count loops at three signalized intersections on Campbell Avenue and for completing the
interconnection of signals in the Downtown and Bascom Interconnect Systems.
