RESOLUTION NO. 8607
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING A TRIAL ROAD CLOSURE
ON WEST PARR A VENUE FOR SIX MONTHS
AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO FORWARD A LETTER
RECOMMENDING THE CLOSURE TO THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed traffic conditions and concerns from Campbell
residents in the neighborhood of West Parr Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds there is significant support from the residents to install a
six-month trial road closure on West Parr Avenue east of Vale Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the road closure would reduce traffic volumes on West
Parr Avenue to within City policies for local streets; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the road closure would not impact emergency services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell that
the proposed six-month trial installation of the road closure be approved and that the Mayor be
authorized to forward a letter recommending the closure to the Town of Los Gatos. The City
Engineer is hereby authorized to proceed with notification and installation of the closure,
subject to an equivalent approval by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos.
